Why I don't offer clothes for your session

As a boudoir photographer, my approach of not offering lingerie for my clients and instead encouraging them to bring their own outfits is centered around empowerment and authenticity.

  • Embracing Individuality and Authenticity: By encouraging clients to bring their own outfits, I’m giving them the freedom to express their unique personality and style. Every person has their own comfort zone and preferred aesthetic, and by allowing them to choose their own outfits, I am ensuring that the final photos truly capture their essence. This approach celebrates their individuality and avoids any potential discomfort that might come from wearing something that doesn't align with their personal taste.

  • Personal Connection: Wearing outfits that resonate with them helps my clients feel more connected to the experience. When they bring their own lingerie or clothing, it's often tied to special memories or significant moments in their lives. These emotional connections can boost their confidence and make the photography session even more meaningful for them.

  • Empowerment through Choice: Empowerment is about giving people the agency to make decisions for themselves. By allowing clients to choose their own outfits, it’s promoting self-confidence and empowerment. This choice signifies that they are in control of fostering a sense of ownership over the final photos and their own representation.

  • Comfort and Confidence: Being in front of the camera can be a vulnerable experience for many. By wearing something that makes them feel comfortable and confident, clients are more likely to relax and fully embrace the session. This comfort translates into more genuine and natural expressions, resulting in photographs that authentically capture their emotions.

  • Breaking Stereotypes: The traditional perception of boudoir photography often involves specific types of lingerie and poses. By shifting the focus away from preconceived notions and encouraging clients to wear what resonates with them personally, my hope is that I am contributing to breaking down stereotypes and challenging societal norms. This sends a powerful message that this ‘type’ of photoshoot is not about conforming to expectations but embracing one's true self.

  • Highlighting Inner Strength: True power comes from within. Encouraging clients to wear what makes them feel 'you' and powerful helps them tap into their inner strength and confidence. It's not about conforming to a certain look or style, but rather about showcasing the inner qualities that truly define their beauty.

  • Enhancing Self-Expression: My style of photography is a celebration of self-expression. By letting clients bring their own outfits, I am fostering an environment where they can express their identity in a way that resonates with them deeply. This creative freedom allows for more genuine and impactful images.

My approach as a photographer is rooted in the principles of empowerment, authenticity, and celebrating individuality. By allowing clients to choose their own outfits and encouraging them to wear what aligns with their personal style and empowerment, I am creating a space for them to truly shine and feel confident during their photography experience!
